About Glenbard Township High School District 87

Glenbard East, North, South and West follow the same 2026-27 district bell schedule. Glenbard Hour is built into Mondays and Fridays, while Wednesdays and Thursdays use four 90-minute block periods. On regular Tuesdays, Period 8 ends at 2:19 p.m.; on other regular weekdays, the final period ends at 3 p.m. The Tuesday PLC block from 2:23 to 3:05 p.m. is for staff.

October 21-22 are school days with early dismissal and evening parent-teacher conferences, followed by a non-attendance day on October 23. October 27 has a different schedule: sophomores and juniors take an ACT/PreACT diagnostic practice exam, while freshmen and seniors do not attend school. The district's announcement does not specify dismissal times for testing. Juniors also take the official school-day ACT on April 14, 2027.

Students are off November 2 for a teachers' institute day and November 3 for General Election Day. Thanksgiving recess follows November 25-27. The first semester ends December 18, before winter recess begins December 21. Students return January 5 after a separate no-school institute day on January 4. In spring, March 26 is a non-attendance day before spring recess begins March 29. Classes resume April 5.
