Community Unit School District 300 School Calendar 2026-2027

District 300 has six Late Start Wednesdays: September 2 and 30 and December 9, 2026, followed by January 13, March 3 and May 12, 2027. K-12 students start two hours later on these dates, with morning bus pick-ups also delayed by two hours for eligible riders. Breakfast and lunch are still served. Bell times vary by grade level: Oak Ridge has its own schedule, while Westfield K-5 follows elementary hours and Westfield grades 6-8 follow middle school hours. Preschool students have no classes on these six Wednesdays. Free Late Start childcare is available to registered K-5 students, but families must provide transportation to the childcare program.

There are no K-12 classes November 23-27, 2026. Parent-teacher conferences take place November 23-24, followed by the district's official Fall Break on November 25-27. Winter Break runs December 21-January 1, with classes resuming January 4. Students are also off March 26 for a district holiday, immediately before Spring Break on March 29-April 2; classes resume April 5. Other dates to note are October 9 and 12, which form a four-day weekend, and the teacher institute days on October 30, February 26 and April 30.

Friday, May 21, 2027 is the scheduled last day of school if no emergency days are used. February 12 is the first possible emergency make-up day, even though it is otherwise a no-class date. The district's published calendar PDF then lists May 24-27 as additional make-up dates, in order, if needed. District 300 says it will confirm activated make-up dates by email. Graduation ceremonies are scheduled for May 22 at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates: Jacobs at 10 a.m., Dundee-Crown at 2 p.m. and Hampshire at 6 p.m.
